Located across from the Village Gondola in a cozy spot underneath the Alpenhof Lodge’s clock tower, we’ve been one of the most beloved bars in Mammoth Lakes for over 35 years.
Owned and operated by brothers Kirk and Robert Schaubmayer since the very first drink was poured, this casual and friendly pub-style restaurant started as a tavern just serving beer and wine. Needing an angle, Kirk and Robert kept adding taps till they ran out of room. The draft selection topped out at 31 until the day came when they acquired a different license enabling them to sell spirits. To make room for the whiskey bottles they lost five taps but gained over 160 selections of craft whiskeys – which gave us the most extensive whiskey collection in all of Mammoth Lakes. Not a bad trade…
The Clocktower Cellar is open seven days a week from 4 to 11 p.m.
